Make Your Own Resuable Wipes

I apologize that this post is a little later than intended but, as promised, here is a tutorial for sewing your own wipes.  In it I use flannel, but you can use whatever fabric you like best.  Just make sure that it's absorbent.  I do suggest a minimum of 20 wipes, to start out.

1) Pre-wash your fabric, iron it and cut it into 9 by 9 inch squares.

2) Sew the two squares together, wrong sides together, with a 1/2 inch seam.  Be sure to leave a small place to turn the wipe.

3) Trim the seam allowance to 1/4 inch and clip the corners.

4) Turn the wipes to the right side, gently push out the corners, iron and topstitch them 1/4 inch from the edge.  Topstitching will close the opening used for turning.
